Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are an amazing treatment for reversing the signs of ageing and restoring a youthful appearance to the skin and generally making you feel more youthful . A pre-treatment consultation with our medical practitioner will assess your conditions and discuss your expected outcome. A regular series of treatments are recommended to maintain the results – this treatment is not suitable for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding are not recommended for this treatment due to lack of studies on the effects in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Any application of dermal fillers can cause some mild discomfort for the client. To minimise any sensitivity, a very fine needle is used and we apply a topical numbing cream to the area prior to treatment. The fillers will contain numbing agent to help minimise any discomfort.

A temporary side effect of dermal fillers is redness and swelling at the treatment site. This usually settles within a few hours, but some slight bruising may be left behind. This will take a couple of days to disappear, but some clients find it barely noticeable and is easily covered over with a little makeup. Your medical history and any allergies will be discussed beforehand to reduce the risk of any adverse reactions occurring.

Any sensitivity, redness or tenderness will usually ease within 24 hours. Many clients feel that the application of dermal fillers does not cause any additional disruption to their day, and they are able to continue as normal.
