Laser Hair Removal

Using a laser for hair removal is both comfortable and effective. It uses a unique vacuum mechanism that overrides sensory receptors in the skin with the sensation of pressure which reduces the sensation of heat during treatment.
This treatment is generally suitable for all skin tones and for most body areas and types of hair. Lasers are more effective when hair is in the early growth stage. As hairs will not all be in the same stage at the same time, multiple treatment sessions will usually be needed to achieve permanent hair reduction. A course of 6-12 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended to see optimal results and to enhance the long-term effectiveness of the treatment.

How does laser hair removal treatment work?
The hair-removing laser sweeps over large areas of skin, gradually destroying the hair follicles and leaving the skin undamaged.
Do I need to prepare my skin in any way before treatment?
All we ask is that you shave the area on the day of your treatment, or 24 hours beforehand if that’s more convenient. Please avoid applying moisturiser to the area and remove deodorant if you are having your underarms treated.
What will happen during laser hair removal treatment?
A cooling gel is applied to the area, followed by the hair removal laser in slow sweeping motions across the skin. Hair removal treatment typically takes around ten minutes and all you will feel is a mild, warm sensation of pins and needles.
When will I see hair removal treatment results?
Some people see instant results while others may have to wait a few weeks depending on the hair growth cycle.
How many hair removal treatments will I need?
The number of laser hair removal treatments you require varies from person from person but we would typically advise six sessions. Occasionally clients may require a few more but we can assess this as you move through your treatment.
